The Basketball Embassy (TBE) is currently accepting applications to intern at the following positions for the summer:
youth ambassador program coach
If you have a passion for coaching basketball and empowering at-risk youth, our Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) may be the perfect fit for you. Our coaches serve multiple homeless shelters, elementary and middle schools in low-income and underserved communities. YAP interns can work anywhere between one session (one hour) and four sessions per week. Sessions range from afternoons to evenings.
*Applicants for this position must be based out of the greater San Antonio or Austin area. Multiple positions available. Background check required.
Development officer
As a small-but-growing nonprofit, TBE is always working creatively to raise funds and solicit donations to sustain our youth empowerment efforts. The development interns primary responsibilities are to brainstorm, plan and implement fundraising ideas and donation drives.

Grant writer
TBE has received numerous grants from both local and federal stakeholders, and our grant writing team is responsible for seeking out new funding opportunities as well as maintaining existing partnerships.

Communications/social media coordinator
Our local community engagement paired with our international endeavors paves the way for abundant content creation opportunities. We’re looking for energetic, motivated content creators with writing competency and an ability to post on social media with tact and diplomacy.

All internship positions are unpaid. We will occasionally post paid positions, and typically draw from our intern pool for our compensated roles.
