Recap: Golf Teams for Hoop Dreams fundraiser a success

The Basketball Embassy’s second annual Golf Teams for Hoops Dreams fundraiser brought together people from all over the state to support youth empowerment initiatives in the greater San Antonio community.

In total, 22 teams arrived at Olympia Hills Golf & Event Center last Friday, participating in a four-man scramble plus a silent auction and raffle contest with all proceeds benefiting TBE’s Youth Ambassador Program (YAP).

Since its inception three years ago, YAP has worked with various elementary schools, nonprofits and homeless shelters to provide after-school programming. TBE’s host of highly trained coaches teach basketball skills with life lessons embedded in each session.
