BASKETBALL SESSIONS SPEARHEADED BY:
Chris Dial (TBE Founder/CEO) - He joined the Texas A&M San Antonio’s Athletic Department as Head Men’s Basketball Coach in late March of 2018 to help architect and guide Texas A&M San Antonio’s inaugural basketball season. A native of San Antonio, Dial comes to the Texas A&M system from Our Lady of the Lake University where he helped restore another relatively new NAIA program on the city’s Westside.
Dial’s international resume is unique as he put his FIBA license to use in several countries including Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, Moldova, Albania, San Marino, Northern Cyprus, Sweden, Ireland, Georgia, Belarus, Estonia, Israel, Palestine, Tunisia, Zambia, Uzbekistan, and the UK to name a few. He has coached players and worked with coaches from over 120 countries in camp and clinic settings since 2008.
He has had a long-standing relationship with the San Antonio Spurs as well as their non-profit arm, Spurs Way. Dial spent the 2024 Summer League as an assistant coach with the Spurs, a dream scenario for a young man that grew up as a fan and supporter of the team.
Chris is continuing to find ways to utilize his relationships with the San Antonio Spurs and USA Basketball to continue to give back to local communities through basketball.
VOLLEYBALL SESSIONS SPEARHEADED BY:
Emily Ellis (TBE COO) - She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a Sport Management minor from Trinity University. Growing up, sports were always an integral part of Emily's life. She has a deep passion for sports, whether that be playing, watching her older sister, or following professional teams. Emily formally joined The Basketball Embassy team in April of 2023, following her graduation from Trinity in December ‘22.
During her collegiate volleyball career, she competed for five seasons on Trinity’s women’s volleyball team, reaching three Elite Eights, two Final Fours, and a National Championship appearance. She has been honored as a two‑time All‑American and has earned distinctions such as National Player of the Week and All‑Region honors.
She has been fortunate to engage in several sports diplomacy exchanges - Uzbekistan, Zambia, North Macedonia, Serbia/Croatia, etc. These exhcanges have allowed her to gain a more global perspective of sports and the power they have to connect communities and empower young people through the games we love.
She currently also coaches volleyball at a local club - San Antonio Magic. She is in her first season at Magic and holds coaching positions for both 13s and 11s teams.
